Green Glitter nails | Avon Opal Top Coat!

Hello everyone!

Today I thought I'd try out the Avon Opal Top Coat along with the green glitter I bought a while back featured in THIS haul post and the MUA nail polish in Pistachio Ice Cream.

 First I applied 2 coats of the MUA polish and waited for them to fully dry. Next, I applied a thin layer of the opal top coat to the tips of both ring fingers then dipped them in to the glitter. Make sure your base nail colour is completely dry before doing this otherwise the glitter will stick to all of your nail. 

Whilst that was drying I applied the opal top coat to all the remaining fingers and finally the ring fingers once the tips had dried. 

I think the Opal Top Coat is really pretty although I think less looks better than more. I applied quite a lot on one finger and it looked quite messy. 

Also, even though it's called a top coat I wouldn't regard it as a very good one because it doesn't leave your nails feeling smooth. They actually feel quite rough because of the glitter particles so you may need another coat of ordinary top coat if that's something that bugs you. 

I can't remember whether I've mentioned the MUA Pistachio Ice Cream nail polish before but if I have, I'll say it again, I love this colour. I love anything green. But this is definitely one of my favourite nail polishes!

The green glitter looks really nice too, it's not just for nails but I think it's one good use for it. I did only apply it to the tips of 2 nails but I think you could completely cover all your nails with this stuff and it'd still look really nice.
