Revlon Matte Balm Showy Flamboyante | Lipstick Week | No.6

Hello everyone!

We are on the penultimate post of Lipstick Week :( I'm so sad. I've really enjoyed this series and I'm debating doing the same thing but with a different item of makeup...like eyeliners or something? But before I get ahead of myself, let's finish this week first :D

Today I'm sporting a Revlon Matte Balm in the shade Showy Flamboyante. I love these matte balms from Revlon, I also have Unapologetic which I've talked about loads of times and I have Sultry too which I have reviewed already... I think.

This is probably the closest to Candy Yum Yum of all the lipsticks I've reviewed this week as it's the same Barbie-type pink colour. They are also both matte but the Revlon shade isn't as bright as the MAC one.

I love the formula of these matte balms as they remain moisturising throughout most of the day which is a welcome change from the usual dryness of a matte product. These can cling to dry areas though which is something a lot of people comment on.

The only difference I've noticed between this colour and the other 2 matte balms I have is that this one seems to have a stinging effect when applied. Like you would expect from a plumping product. A bit strange considering it's the only one of my 3 which does it but it's fine I don't personally mind it.

I do love the fresh minty scent this has to it. It's cooling on the lips, too, which is great.

The pigmentation of this product is not disappointing, you only need a quick one or two coats and you're good to go. It's very quick to apply and if you can keep the pencil in it's pointy form it's quite precise too. I thoroughly enjoy that this isn't a product which needs sharpening. Sharpeners grow legs and walk in my house so the twisty-up mechanism makes me really happy :D

Something else I've noticed with this particular shade is how much it makes blue eyes stand out. It seems to compliment them in a way no other lip product I own does. It's weird, I noticed it the first time I ever wore it. Definitely compliments blue eyes but I imagine that it would look great with any eye colour.

These matte balms really do get 10 out of 10 from me and I really really want to collect them all!

Have you tried any Revlon matte balms? What's your favourite shade?

Thanks for reading,
