Lush Shower Jellies!

Hello everyone!

Today I have a review of the Lush Shower Jellies for you! I have both the Whoosh scent and the Sweetie Pie scent.

I absolutely love these! I do still use normal shower gel just out of ease but these are great for a little treat to yourself. Especially if you're like me and your house doesn't have a bath... just a large shower -_-

I think my favourite of the two is Sweetie Pie because it's such an addictive scent. As the name suggests, it's very sweet, fruity and tropical. Very summery... I don't know whether I'd use this in the winter but over the warm few weeks we've been having this has been a nice scent to have lingering around the bathroom and on myself throughout the day.

The jelly itself is a deep purple / blue colour with glitter in it, it's so cute. It foams up surprisingly well actually. I'm someone who expects lots of foam from a shower jell and I thought this wouldn't lather up at all. Although it's not quite the same as a shower jell it does do a pretty good job.

The Whoosh scent is much more fresh, clean and lemony than the Sweetie Pie.  I'd definitely use Whoosh in the morning! The instructions suggest to use this one to renew focus when you are jet lagged or revising for exams and I think that's a great idea as this scent would definitely wake you up. This jelly is a bright turquoise colour. Very pretty!

I've used both of these shower jellies a lot over the past few months and I've never had a problem with irritated skin or sensitivity. The only thing I miss when I use these is the creaminess you get from, say, a Dove shower gel. Everything else I do enjoy.

When I bought these, I read that it was a good idea to break the jelly up so if you dropped it down the plug or something you wouldn't lose the whole thing. I wouldn't suggest you do this. Because the jelly is so slippery you need a large amount of it to grip (this is sounding wrong haha). I broke up my Whoosh jelly and I really wish I hadn't because it's so much easier to handle when you have the whole lot of it in your hand.

Also, it is suggested that you can use these on your scalp and hair due to the seaweed gel... I haven't done this yet... and I probably won't. It feels weird putting something for your body on your hair.

Whoosh Shower Jelly - £3.50
Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly - £3.25

Have your tried these shower jellies?
Have you tried them on your hair/scalp?
What did you think?

Anyway, that's all I have to say about these!
I do really enjoy them, I think they're a lovely treat as I can't use all the bath bombs etc. but I'm not ready to part with my normal shower gel either.

Hope this was helpful!

Thoughts of the day

  • Did a bit of random shopping today. I bought a post-it note weekly planner thing from Tesco. A new tanning mitt. Razors. Two packets of Jacobs Crackers, the chive kind and the mixed wheat kind. Three bottles of rum beer and two Greek style yoghurts, one in honey flavour and one plain for my breakfasts. How random is that? From three different supermarkets as well!
  • We just had another storm. It's not even been that warm to warrant one either.
  • I re-wrote my About Page last night. It's much more interesting and informative now!
  • Left my phone at home when I went shopping and felt absolutely lost without it.. can't believe how much I rely on it!
